Real Madrid's winger Extends Apology to Real Madrid Supporters
Vinicius Jr has scored five finishes in ten domestic competition appearances this season.
The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his response when replaced in the recent intense match against Barcelona victory.
The Brazilian was taken off in the 72nd min and showed his frustration by heading directly down the tunnel.
He later returned to the sidelines and, following his side's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barcelona's opposing player during unpleasant after the game incidents.
"Today I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius posted on his account.
"Just as I have said in person during this morning's session, I wish to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the organization, and the leadership.
"Occasionally passion takes over me because I continuously aim to succeed and assist my team. My winning mentality comes from the love I feel for this club and all it represents."
The player signed for Madrid from his former club in 2018 for a significant fee and has scored triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his future in the Madrid is far from certain with reports in the past few months suggesting that Los Blancos would contemplate permitting the young star move on if they got a good proposal.
When he was replaced on that day, broadcast footage from coverage provider the platform picked him up remarking: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's preferable if I leave, I'm going."
In his new statement on X, he commented: "I vow to keep fighting constantly for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the very beginning."
