Soccer Player Welsh Athlete Ramsey Increases Incentive for Missing Pet in Mexican Territory to $20,000
Wales football star Aaron Ramsey has raised the reward for details concerning his missing dog Halo to $twenty thousand dollars.
Ex- Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder, who now plays for the Mexican club Pumas in the capital, mentioned that Halo was spotted in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato state region.
The beagle, who disappeared on 9 October, was had on a dog tracker collar, and Ramsey posted a exact coordinates of the spot she vanished from.
"Any news about our beloved Halo please get in touch with us. Big reward for reuniting with her. We are all wishing she is unharmed and will return to our side quickly," the athlete shared on Instagram.
Earlier Reward and Heartfelt Appeals
Ramsey initially disclosed that Halo had disappeared two weeks ago and has subsequently uploaded multiple photos of the beloved pet on Instagram.
A £7.5k incentive was initially announced, but with no news on Halo's status after a week, the player and his family increased the amount.
"We just want our pet back," he stated in another appeal on social media after the elderly pet was lost.
The most recent picture post is a black and white snapshot of Halo sleeping, its head resting in the bend of Ramsey's elbow, with the caption: "What I wouldn't give to cuddle you one last time sweet Halo."
Family's Anxieties and Context
Ramsey has also circulated a message from his wife Colleen on social media indicating they have a few "serious questions" surrounding the disappearance and fear the household "might not receive clarity".
"To this day we have not located Halo. It is unlikely we will ever," the spouse's post stated.
The Wales leader became part of Mexican premier team Pumas UNAM in recent months and made his debut in the Mexican league in the eighth month.
The Caerphilly-born player is the initial high profile British Isles athlete to play in the Liga MX.
